Pantomime
Mime is and has played a very important role in Classical Ballet.
In the most current and contemporary ballets, mime has been replaced with gestures and expressions, both facial and body. In some parts of the oldest and most classic ballets the story is told or complemented by mime.

It is important to know the meanings of these movements to understand the message that the dancer is trying to communicate on stage.
The best known and most popular are the following movements and it is possible to identify them in ballets such as Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Swan Lake, Cinderella and many more from the romantic era.
